3rd Party Publisher Support...

Just so you know, I will be supporting Paizo's Pathfinder line when they put out their OGL. I will, of course, be supporting the OGL But to me I feel that Pathfinder is the most like "D&D" to me. 4th Edition is more like World of Warcraft to me, and I don't even like that game (I am waiting for Dawn of War II!!!! Bad Ass!!!). So when Paizo gets everything sorted out for their OGL, you can expect to hear the LPJ Design product for it the day after. Maybe we will do a Pathfinder version of Obsidian Twilight. Talk to you later...

Obsidian Twilight: Is it this or that or even that...

While looking at trailers for Left 4 Dead (god I love that game), I had to wonder; is Obsidian Twilight a post apocalyptic fantasy setting with zombies OR is it a zombie apocalypse in a Fantasy setting OR is it a Dying Earth subgenre setting with undead? Let me hear what you think and why. Talk to you later...

Obsidian Twilight Layout

Here is the graphic design and layout mock up of the chapter opener I have done for the of Obsidian Twilight. Everything in the graphic design and layout is final EXCEPT of the shadowed image in that back. I am just using that image for placement (i.e. how it will look when the real image is in place) to get the layout correct. The artist Gerardo Sandoval from Deviantart.com and I loved this image so much I hope I can hire him for some interior work. So if the concept of Obsidian Twilight got you interested you can see that we are still hard at work on it. Talk to you later...

Obsidian Twilight questions...

Over the last few weeks, we have ad a lot of interesting questions come from the patrons of the Obsidian Twilight project and I thhink a lot of them will help make the project even more of a success. Our resident "Race Creation expert" Joshua Cole has ripped apart my inital races for Obsidian Twilight and forces me to rethink a few of them from the ground up. I really trust Joshua take on races. After working with me on the races for NeoExodus: A House Divided I know he understands what makes a race fun and playable. Even though we can't show you the "crunchy stuff", here are the names of the races and let's see what you can guess what they are like: Exalted, Hallowed, Khymer, Osirian and Raijin. We are still working on one last race, but I have not really decided what I want them to be. Oh well, back to the salt mine. Talk to you later...

[PDF Business Wednesday] Happy New Year! We eliminated your division, you're fired!

On Tuesday, for this New Years, the company that I used to work for eliminated my division and killed my position at 4:11 pm by phone. And to make it even funnier, they told me I would not be any kind of severance package and I and my fellow co-workers would be escorted out by security after the call. Now the weird part is it really didn't matter to me. I hated the job, and my boss was an ass clown and I hated driving 40 miles each way to get to work. So it got me thinking, "What do I really want really want to do?" I don't know, but I think the best thing to do is do something that you don't feel you are wasting your time on. My old company, every moment I was there I felt I was wasting time and not learning anything new from being there. So what ever job I get next, it is going to focus on something that can make me a better business person in my own business. Then it will be worth it to go to work. Talk to you later...
